Want to transform your laundry room space so that you don’t mind being in there but have a low budget? No Worries! I did this laundry room make over for less than $100!
This is what our laundry room looked like before, a CATCH ALL. I wanted it to be a space that felt clean, since this is where our clothes get cleaned.
We removed all the stuff, the shelving, and began painting! We chose a Sherwin Williams color and grabbed paint from Lowes!
After the paint dried we used a roll of Roommates Wallpaper off of Amazon to add an accent to the wall behind the washer and dryer. We didn’t add it to the floor but just far enough down that you can’t see where it stops, because of these we were able to use only one roll of wallpaper, ultimately saving us money!
To save money we took anything stuck on the previous shelf in the space and sanded it down then added Self-Adhesive Film from Amazon to give the shelf a wood look. Personally I think you wouldn’t notice unless you looked closely or already knew!
Once the shelf was in place we could add decor! I wanted a minimalist look in this space especially since it only has one use. I grabbed two wood boxes from At Home and the cutest Laundry Service sign! Self Service Open 24 Hours!
Before + After!
The space is exactly the feel and look I was going for! If you go back and read my progress post of the process you’ll see we had plans for a cabinet and a drying rack. Once we started the makeover process we realized that would just be too much for this space. We are both very happy with the after!
