This project was cheap and quick but made a HUGE difference! For this project you just need brick or stone, lime wash (Home Depot has multiple colors), and a masonry brush.
Step 1: Wipe down the stone/brick. I did this by spraying the stone and then wiping. I didn’t want to the stone to be too wet.
Step 2: Follow the directions on the container, it will have you mix in some water.
Step 3: Apply the lime wash to the stone/brick. One quart was more than plenty for this project! This can be very messy (lime wash is thin). The good thing is that it will wipe right off for about the next 24 hours! That includes the stone so don’t worry about messing it up!
Step 4: After you have applied it everywhere take a spray bottle of water and spray in random spots, this gives it the worn look!
Step 5: Enjoy your masterpiece! Don’t touch it or place decor on it until it has sat for at least 24 hours. If you are doing a project outside then make sure they aren’t calling for rain.
